I am a single lady with three beautiful daughters. I volunteer with Girl Guides of Canada, Variety Show of Hearts Telethon and when I can, the Canadian Cancer Society.
I was blessed to be able to carry 2 beautiful little girls, as a Gestational Surrogate. Helping create a family is one of the greatest blessings in my life and now I enjoy guiding others through the process!
I wonder why some clinics do the progesterone shot and others do the vaginal suppository. I have progesterone shots just in case I start spotting as an emergency boost, but otherwise won't need it. Instead, I get to have "cottage cheese" falling out of me every so often. lol I will take a dairy filled vagina any day over more shots. the needle for the progesterone shots scared the hell out of me. You are an awesome woman for hanging in there!
Our clinic requires both the PIO shots and the suppositories :( They are quite gross, she puts them in at night and by morning the "cottage cheese" is all over her pj's and the sheets.
Try not putting any pressure on your leg/foot on the side that you are injecting. So if you're injecting your right hip don't put any pressure on your right foot, only stand on your left side. It keeps the muscle from tensing up. Also inject the oil a little slowly so it doesn't "tear" the muscle and cause giant lumps. Also if your hubby does the injections have him pinch up the area that you're injecting and push the needle in slow and smooth.
Thanks for the helpful hints! Ill defintely try them ALL! lol I dont understand the differences in clinic protocols either. Ive noticed on other blogs and vlogs that it seems everyone is on WAY more meds then I am. The clinic here in Vancouver uses the suppositories. I was like "I would way rather give myself injections then use those things" Now Im wishing I was using the suppositories lol!!! Oh well...do what you have to do! I think in about a week, Ill likely be depending on my hubby or neighbour to inject me cause Ill start to hesitate lol

:( Not good!! I'm sorry! Try icing before the injection. After the injection, rub that spot out really well and then apply heat.
